I read and reviewed this book at the request of the author, who kindly provided me a copy of the book to review.
While a short story and a relatively quick read, this book does an excellent job of addressing the problems that occur in societies today, with regard to domestic violence and stalker culture. While the characters in the book could have been developed further, the story itself had a fantastic message and is definitely a story that I would encourage everyone, especially young girls, to read.
Sindoori is a young girl who lives with her family in the city. She has a secret boyfriend, who her friend strongly disapproves of, because he is never very kind to other people.
One day, Sindoori begins to receive messages from a man who calls himself “The Whistler”. He claims to love Sindoori and threatens to ruin her life if she does not reciprocate his feelings. At this same time, her boyfriend has begun to physically abuse her, and she doesn’t know whom to turn to.
What will she do now?
