Book Review: No Limits by Ellie Marney

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Genre: Thriller

Age Recommended: 16 and up

OMG it’s another Ellie Marney book!! Ever since I read her Every Breath series, I’d wanted to get my hands on another one of these, and she finally released one! This book definitely lived up to the Ellie Marney standard and is one of my personal favorites.

I love how this book is a spin-off from her other series, so the reader is already connected with the main character and some parts of his backstory, which makes the book all the more enjoyable. Add that element to your usual fantastic writing and gripping plot, and you have yourself another Ellie Marney hit!

Harris has just been through the trauma of saving his two friends from a raging psychopath. He’s been shot in the leg, in addition to countless minor injuries, and is now in the hospital, where his abusive father shows up.

Amie is a Certified Nursing Assistant at the hospital that Harris is at. Her father is the chief of police who is investigating the case that landed Harris in the hospital. Upon learning that he is to go back with his abusive father, Amie’s dad offers him a deal: be his insider with the drug trading business.

Harris doesn’t have another way to make money, and is determined to be free of his father’s clutches. He immediately agrees, even after Amie warns him that he has no idea what he’s getting himself into. Harris is making good money, and right now, that’s all that matters- until it doesn’t.

When Harris gets himself tighter into the net of drug dealing, he learns that some things are bigger than people can understand, and that messing with them has bad consequences: for him and for the people he loves.
