This book was extremely short and I felt that a lot of the content was the same as the Selection. I don’t understand why the author would copy and paste scenes from her book to make a novella. Nevertheless, it was an interesting read.

Prince Maxon must choose a wife from 35 eligible girls. This process is known as the Selection.
When a heir to the kingdom comes of age, it is customary to hold a Selection to choose his future wife. However, Maxon isn’t open to this idea. He thinks that it’s too early for him to get married and that it isn’t the right time.
However, the king, Maxon’s father, is desperate to form new alliances and if this is how it must be done, then so be it. Maxon must choose a wife from the 35 girls, or his parents will do it for him. Moreover, Maxon is convinced that the girl he chooses must be one that he loves, but how can he make himself fall in love?
Will it all work out?
