Rating: 2 out of 5 stars
Genre: Supernatural Fiction
Age Recommendation: 13 and up
To be completely honest, I was extremely disappointed with this book. The first three-quarters were just plot-less gore and the rest made no sense. I don’t know how the author could write such a book after the first two, which were very balanced and well-written. If the fourth and fifth books are like this one, I will definitely not be reading them anytime soon.

Kyle Chase is a heart surgeon. He has been doing major research in the area of stem cells and is working on a solution that could possibly cure any physical ailment by allowing cells to reproduce much faster. He has his son brought in to watch his breakthrough and Dr.Chase attempts to insert this solution into the body of a severely burned man.
However, this solution ends up giving the man supernatural powers. Moreover, the test subject starts murdering people in order to get the nutrients and essence he needs to stay alive. Dr.Chase is killed, as is his assistant, and only his son survives along with the half-man half-beast. The beast now proceeds to go on a killing rampage on the streets to save himself from whatever is possessing him.
Dr.Chase’s son and the police must figure out a way to defeat this supernatural being before it can murder any more innocent people.
Will they be able to save people from this terrifying beast?
