Book Review: When You Never Said Goodbye by Meg Kearney

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Genre: Realistic Fiction Age Recommended: 13 and up This book was an ARC, courtesy of NetGalley I didn’t really enjoy this book, because while it was a good story and has well developed characters, I felt that the author tried too hard to drag the story out. Even though this book was the third in a series and I easily understood it without having read the first two. —————————– Liz’s adoptive father has just passed away, which is making her more eager than ever to find her birth mother. Book Review: Code by Carolyn McCray (Book three of the Robin Hood Hacker series)

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Genre: Thriller Age Recommended: 14 and up As I’ve mentioned briefly in the reviews for the first and second books of these series, each book has its own mini prequel where they introduce the scenario. Zeroes is the one for this book. I wish the author had done something different, because the only distinction I saw in the third book was the technology being used. ———————————————— Ronnie has been sentenced to life in prison. She’s been in … Continue reading Book Review: Code by Carolyn McCray (Book three of the Robin Hood Hacker series)

Book Review: Earth Angel by Valmore Daniels (Book three of the Fallen Angels series)

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars Genre: Supernatural Fiction Age Recommendation: 13 and up To be completely honest, I was extremely disappointed with this book. The first three-quarters were just plot-less gore and the rest made no sense. I don’t know how the author could write such a book after the first two, which were very balanced and well-written. If the fourth and fifth books are like this one, I will definitely not be reading them anytime soon. ————————————————- Kyle Chase is a heart surgeon. He has been doing major research in the area of stem cells and is working on a … Continue reading Book Review: Earth Angel by Valmore Daniels (Book three of the Fallen Angels series)
