Book Review: Whispers by Aram Keledjian

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Genre: Supernatural Fiction

Age Recommended: 13 and up

This book was given to me courtesy of BookRature.

This was one of the best books I’ve read this year, by far. The story very intriguing and fast-paced, and not gory like many of the other books in this genre.

——————————————————–

Henry White is a seventeen-year-old who has a secret. He is actually 219 years old and essentially immortal. Resembling a young boy, but actually a vampire, he is one of the last of his kind, and lives in a house with his grandfather. Henry rarely leaves his house because being in mortal company is too tempting. One day, he sees bullies beating up a kid next to his house and he leaves his house to intervene. Being a vampire, Henry is unnaturally strong and uses these powers to save the kid.

Unfortunately, the kid who he saves gets his superhuman powers on tape and posts the video on YouTube. The kid’s mother then comes to Henry’s house to ask why he isn’t at school, and then proceeds to promptly enroll him at the nearest high school. Henry manages to keep his fangs at bay during the school day, but then begins to fall for a girl named Elizabeth.

Moreover, evil beings that have been hunting Henry have finally found him and are planning to kill him and his father, along with anyone who he cares about, including Elizabeth.

Will Henry be able to save Elizabeth, from the evil beings and from himself?

This is book is not available for sale yet – I’ll post a link as soon as it becomes available so you too may read it!
