I loved this book a lot because of the endless plot twists and the fact that the characters were very-well developed.

Israel is dying from a poisoned knife wound and nobody knows the cure. Alyx is panicking because the demons are planning to take over the Earth soon. Moreover, people are being killed all over by the Darkened, and Alyx and Jordan must find a way to save them.

When Alyx and Jordan go on a quest to find a cure for the poison that is killing Israel, they realize that not everything is as it appears. They must fight supernatural creatures and people of their own kind to attain the cure. But most importantly, they must fight their inner demon…
