Book Review: Matched by Ally Condie (Book one of the Matched series)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Genre: Fiction

Age Recommended: 13 and up

I’d heard many rave reviews about this series and I am happy to say that the first book did not disappoint. The author had a very unique idea and theme, and her writing flowed really well.

Matched

———————————————

Cassia is a young girl who is about to get matched. She is really excited, but also apprehensive about meeting the person that she will spend the rest of her life with, as chosen by her superiors. When Cassie is matched, she is thrilled to learn that she has been matched with someone she knows, because this is a very rare occurrence. Moreover, her match is her best friend Xander.

However, when Cassie picks up her microcard, a card designed to educate her about her match, she is confused as she sees another face before Xander’s- a face of a person she knows as well.

Ky is a boy whose parents committed a crime. For this reason, he is not allowed to be matched, and Cassie knows this. However, when she sees him on her microcard before Xander, she starts questioning the superiors and how they could have allowed something like this to occur.

When her curiosity goes too far, Cassie may have put herself and her family in danger.

Will she know her limits?

    1. Unfortunately, a lot of the books I read are from bookstores or advance reader copies, so that may not be possible. However, most of the books are really cheap to buy on Kindle from Amazon, or can even be checked out from a public library. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog!
