This book was really fast-paced and I enjoyed it a lot. There were some gory scenes here and there but they didn’t seem out of place.

Darcy Anderson can play with fire. From a young age, she had the ability to control fire, but her power didn’t affect her life until she accidentally burned down her house and killed her parents. Now, she’s back from jail on parole after ten years and wants nothing more than to start over.
However, her childhood sweetheart, who later abused her, wants Darcy gone from his life. He makes it his mission to make Darcy miserable. Nobody in this town trusts her after what she did and she can’t go anywhere without drawing stares. To make things worse, nobody knows about her powers, so it seems like she is a mentally unstable woman who murdered her parents.
Moreover, the town sheriff seems to have something against Darcy and is constantly looking for reasons to get her convicted again.
Will Darcy be able to start over?
