“What if the person you were meant to be with could never be yours?”
This is an amazing, fast-paced book and I guarantee you won’t put it down until you’re done…
—————————————
17 year old Lucinda comes to a new school. It looks like a prison and feels like one too. There are security cameras outside every dorm room and cement walls complete with a barbed wire fence.
Lucy makes new friends soon enough but when she tries to get close to a cute boy named Daniel, he turns her away at first sight. Lucy doesn’t know why he does this but she also knows that there’s something about him that’s odd. She also feels like she’s seen him before.
At first, Daniel denies it, but as time goes on, more secrets are revealed; secrets that could change Lucy’s life forever.
Lucy finds out that there is a battle going on between angels and fallen angels, which are angels turned bad. Daniel is an angel who is trying to keep Lucy safe because somehow, she is the key to this whole battle – a key that could turn the tide.
Lucy also finds out that she and Daniel are destined lovers. Daniel lives on forever, but she dies every time she meets him and gets close to him. Daniel has been alive for hundreds of years and every seventeen years, Lucy comes to him and dies in his arms a short while later.
This time, when Lucy finds out about all of this, she tries to stop this horrendous cycle. Daniel convinces her that it can’t be done, but one night, when they finally kiss… nothing happens. Morning comes and Lucy is still alive!
Lucy and Daniel dare to hope that the cycle is broken but both of them know that something is still not right – some other major force is at play that could destroy Lucy forever…
Will she survive?
