Book Review: The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Genre: Teen Romance / Fiction

Age Recommended: 15 and up

I really enjoyed this book because it was a change from all of the mysteries and action books that I have been reading recently. I also appreciated the effort the author spent in character development.

———————————————-

Andie is the daughter of a politician. Her life is basically hanging out with friends, ignoring her absent father, and staying in the shadows to avoid scandals. However, when one of her summer internships is revoked because of a scandal that her father is involved in, she decides to take fate into her own hands.

Andie takes up a job walking dogs, and meets a boy named Clark, who she soon takes a liking to. Andie later learns that Clark is actually a writer with two best-selling books. After spending a night with him when his dog is sick, she learns that they have a lot in common.

However, Andie isn’t sure if she can hold on to this relationship for so long, especially since she only planned for this to be a summer fling and the closer she gets to Clark, the faster she feels herself falling for him…

Will she turn Clark away?
