Book Review: Loot by Jude Watson

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Genre: Thriller

Age Recommended: 13 and up

Another amazing thriller by one of my favorite authors! I loved Jude Watson’s 39 clue books. Also one of my favorite book covers!

This book is an ARC, courtesy of NetGalley and will be published on June 24, 2014.

One of my favorite quotes from the book: “Living sure is easy when you have twenty million in the bank.”

Loot

————————————————————

Alfie McQuinn, a notorious burglar, falls to his death from a roof.

March, his son, arrives just in time to hear his dad’s last words: “Find jewels.”

Only, his dad isn’t talking about some random jewels, he’s talking about March’s sister. A sister that he never knew he had.

March is later walking down the street when, after some coincidences,  he meets Jules, his sister. Soon after, they are both taken to an orphanage. Possibly the worst orphanage that ever existed.

There, March and Jules meet two other kids, Darius and Izzy, who are rather friendly. The four of them plan to break out of the orphanage and find a better life. All it takes is one heist. One perfect heist and these four will never have to run away again. One perfect heist and they can settle down for life.

March’s father always said, “Living sure is easy when you have twenty million in the bank.”

But a couple of days later, something happens. Something that changes them forever…
