Book Review: I Am Sleepless: Sim 299 by Johan Twiss (Book One of the I Am Sleepless series)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Genre: Fiction Age Recommendation: 12 and up I received this book courtesy of Bookrature. This book was very thrilling and I loved the action and suspense. The beginning was confusing as there were a lot of characters with no background but as the book evolved, the characters were developed and I enjoyed it a lot. Book Review: Amelia’s Story by D. G. Torrens

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Genre: Realistic Fiction Age Recommended: 14 and up This book was quite disturbing yet very well-written. The author had obviously put a lot of thought into how this story would develop which I appreciated. I wish some of the characters in the book had more intrigue. From the get-go, there were good characters and bad characters, and you could tell who was what from the outset. Some readers would appreciate this, but I personally, would like a little more suspense. —————————————- Amelia and her brother Jake live with their abusive mother. She beats them daily … Continue reading Book Review: Amelia’s Story by D. G. Torrens

Book Review and Interview with Author: The Red Magician by Lisa Goldstein

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars Genre: Fiction with a little fantasy Age Recommended: 12 and up This story was a little creepy at times but overall it was great. It was set in the time of WWII and I really liked that the author combined the idea of witchcraft with WWII, making it seem as if they were related. Read below to see my interview of the author, Lisa Goldstein. — WWII has begun. Kicsi is a young girl who lives in a rural village. One night, a man named Voros comes to her village, and speaks of death and … Continue reading Book Review and Interview with Author: The Red Magician by Lisa Goldstein
