The beginning of this book was okay but the middle was extremely slow and boring. I continued reading just to see what happens in the end. However, the end was disappointing as well and I didn’t enjoy the book at all. The idea behind the story was good but the execution was poor.

Peri and her two step-brothers, Henry and Max, are transported back in time when they accidentally put an old relic on top of a book that transports them back to the time that the relic was made. In their case, Peri, Max, and Henry, are transported back to the first day that Ellis Island accepted immigrants.
The three of them discover that in order to get back home, they must find all of the relics, in this case keys, which will transport them home. However, they have no idea how to find the keys because they could be anywhere. Moreover, the keys aren’t all in one time period, so they will be transported into different periods to find the keys.
Will they find the keys? Will they get back home?
