Book Review: Golden Girl by Sarah Zettel (book two of the Dust Girl trilogy)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Genre: Fiction

Age Recommended: 12 and up

In my experience, sequels to books aren’t nearly as good as the first book, but this one was even better! I can’t wait to read the last book in the trilogy: Bad Luck Girl!

Golden Girl

Callie Le Roux is running. Again.

She recently found out that she is a princess and that a prophecy was joined to her name. Everyone seemed to know who and what she was. Callie had formed an alliance with a boy named Jack and the two had grown very close.

Callie believes that her  parents are being held hostage in California so she goes there to see what she can find. Callie ends up working in the film industry with a very shy girl named Ivy Bright. The two become good friends but Callie soon realizes that Ivy Bright has fallen in love with Jack.

The only problem is that Jack loves Callie.  Ivy Bright also turns out to be the only other girl who can fulfill the prophecy so she makes an attempt at Callie’s life in a desperate hope to gain the admiration of the Seelie king. When that fails, Ivy bright challenges Callie to a last battle. A battle of love.

Callie accepts the challenge but destruction follows.

Will she survive?
